Im sure im not alone in feeling this way, its impossible. Ive been a rocky mountain atv dealer for about 10 years now, i dont spend crazy money with them but I use them as my sole provider of parts and apparel to the tune of about 50k per year. The last 2 years have been nothing but trouble, mostly with shipping and packaging, we wont discuss them slowly taking items out of our dealer program (and not letting us know until we order them and the order gets cancelled after the fact), or the fact that we cant even order OEM parts at all anymore (it used to just be the austrian group). Last thursday i received an order, absolutely MISERABLY packaged. It was 2 Dunlop 34's (big bike) in a box with a yamaha genuine top end kit, yamaha genuine clutch kit, yamaha OEM cam chain, (OEM parts ordered from personal non dealer account) and an NGK spark plug. All of this stuff floating around in a box, delicate parts and no packing material (air bags, peanuts, paper, NOTHING). When i opened the box, the cam chain was gone, the spark plug was rolling around outside of its box, and the tires were on top of the top end kit. Long story short, after a 15 minute argument over a $25 dollar timing chain they agreed to send a new one. Shouldve been here saturday but never showed up. Sunday night, in an effort to get this job out the door ASAP, i paid for another timing chain. Here we are on wednesday, that chain should be delivered today if it shipped monday, USPS tracking says they still havent received the package. Sorry for the vent but this company is on their way downhill and its sad. If anyone from RM is reading this, get your shit together please, we depend on you.

Yep, usually they are wrapped in clear plastic, I have no idea why they put them in a box this time

I used to love Rocky Mountain but as their business model has become more and more driven by ripping off the designs of other companies' products and selling them under the Tusk Brand, I've found myself shopping there less and less.

They’re slowly working on having a full line of tusk products and that’s all “dealers” will be allowed to sell….

Never ONCE have I had an issue with RMATV.    Their customer service has been top notch.   Ordered things arrive very quickly.

I ordered something last year that was out of stock with my DB/MXA gift cards....the order got cancelled and I missed the notice somy DB/MXA gift cards expired.   I called up RMATV and they reissued new cards.

Last tires I got from them came in a box.

Customer for over 20 years and they aren't as good as they used to be. However,  standards across the board have fallen so relatively RM are still good.

Ironically, Amazon are helpful since its easier to return stuff.  Although,  finding a human so you can explain receiving counterfeit goods is not easy.

I ordered all parts to rebuild a top and bottom end from them along with oil and coolant two weeks ago. It came in a giant box with everything bouncing around. Piston out of its box. I was not impressed, they used to be much better…

This is exactly what im talking about. And if that piston was damaged, theyd have to file a claim with "ontrac" (their cut rate shit hole shipping company) before you could be reimbursed for that damaged product, that could take a week or more.

I agree 100%. The only problem with scamazon is the counterfeits. There was a thread recently about DID chains. Not worth the risk.

Last two tires I've ordered from them came in boxes instead of plastic wrap. I assumed FedEx required them to do that for shipping reasons....??

FWIW, 95% of the items I order ship from the KY warehouse via FedEx.

I'm a nobody, I spend on avg about $4k a year with them and 99% of the time I get my stuff with no issues.

I ordered some stuff last week. Tracking said "Package Received Damaged" so I chatted with RMATV CS agent. They reshipped the order so hopefully this one makes it.

I do agree their packing skills have degraded over the last few years. Been ordering from them for many years now.

I've never had issues until recently.  Normally, we get packages in 1-2 days from Kentucky, and from Fedex or USPS.  One of my last orders, they used some local company with no tracking.  Multiple messages leading to nothing, they basically told me that carrier won't update tracking.  I had to re-order and it still took another week.  My last order was placed Friday the 17th, and so far a label has been printed and nothing else.  I usually only order RMATV when I need a part quick, as like I said, they always shipped it quick even if it wasn't the cheapest.... So yes I agree, what was once a sure thing, has definitely become a giant mess.

I remember hearing about an organizational change recently that made me think that won't be good but can't remember what it was.

I am a Rocky Mountain dealer as well and can second your frustration with parts not being able to be ordered. I asked in an email to the dealer specialist for a list of brands that I CANNOT order, and got the typical check the dealer link for brands we offer a discount on. It’s frustrating especially when your needing items in a hurry. I have learned if it isn’t discounted when I put it in the cart to just leave it off the order.
Besides that issue, still the best place to order from. Fastest shipping and an easy website to use.

Are you complaining about getting the same tool at a cheaper price?

What is a Rocky Mountain dealer?

I don't think I've ever had a problem with RMATVMC.  Everything I've ordered has arrived timely and undamaged.  I don't love using them because I hate when a company dominates a market.  But I use mostly use them out of habit.  I also don't love buying the Tusk products, again because I don't want them to drive other companies out of business.  But it's hard to resist because the prices are so good, and I've never had a problem with a Tusk product.  A few weeks ago I needed a new rear brake pedal.  OEM was like $140, some other brand was like $95 and Tusk was like $65.  How can I resist saving that much money?

My only complaint with RM is they use FedEx

If you’re only getting it FedEx it is because that’s the cheapest shipping options for them. You can tell them not to use FedEx but you’ll have to pay for the difference in shipping. I had to tell them not to use UPS or USPS for me. Take two weeks two get packages of not.

How would you feel if you worked your ass off to develop a sweet product and then Rocky Mountain ripped off your design and had it made in China so they could sell it for half the price?

So many Tusk products are just blatant rip offs of others products.

You're in Payson, so I'm guessing you have a dog in this fight.

Oh Lon, tell me what did I make up?

Or are you really that fucking stupid that you can't see that Tusk rips off the work and designs of other companies to get most of their product ideas?

I think I'm gonna head to Unadilla this year, wanna meet up for a beer?

I was wondering this also. Why would I go to a dealer to place a RM order amd not just order it from home and have it delivered to my doorstep?

In  experience shipping has gotten slightly worse over a period of time, especially if they use usps, which is not really there fault more the shipper. If they use fedex for heavier or bigger boxes typically I get it next day and never have an issue. As far as tusk parts I don’t actually believe most or all are made in china. I ordered a tusk brake line for my kx450, and it was actually a galfer line, stamped with galfer on it, just in tusk packaging. I’m sure a lot of there stuff is private labeled similar to what a lot of company’s do. I actually ordered tusk rims last year rebuilding a set of kite wheels, and ended up finding out the tusk rims have the same parts numbers as excel wheels just with different letters in the beginning. And tusk air filters do look a lot like twin air air filters.IMG 5971 0.jpeg?VersionId=.9uSjvsrpMtxEIyQoGPJZ

Nailed it.

The guy goes 0-300MPH into arguments with anyone and everyone.  His making shit up about people is an artform.    At night when the demons come, I swear he must be screaming at them too.    I tuned him out long ago.

Be careful he'll end up stalking you like he does with me. 🤣

Lot of 1st world problems being reported these days.    Cracks me up when people complain about "2 day shipping" taking 3 days.   Shit happens.    No company is perfect, they all make mistakes,  sometimes customer service fails.

Oh Magoober.... please let me know, what have I made up about you?

I love how you have no problem jumping in to talk shit about people here while at the same time being too big of a fucking pussy to ever engage with anyone who has hurt your feelings by calling out the dumb ass shit you say.

Quit playing the victim.

I couldn’t agree more. Used to be great, getting shittier by the week. 0/2 on my last two orders, won’t just reship. Have to wait for them file a claim with shipper and then I can get a refund. Awful

I made a post a while back about shipping issues with them and got bashed. The actual shipping being slow/lost isn’t something they did, however I expect my items to be properly protected in the box. I ordered new chain and sprocket and similar to the OP the sprockets were completely out of the box just floating around. Zero packaging.
Still my preferred dealer but they need to take significant steps to protect our orders.
